Product Manager

Company Description: Challenge Games was founded in 2006 with the mission of creating online, short-form games that are challenging, fun and easy to play whether you're a serious or casual gamer. The big idea was to create cool games that can be played in 3-10 minute time increments anytime, from anywhere especially on social platforms such as Facebook. Our latest games are "Ponzi, Inc" and "Warstorm" (both available on Facebook).

Job Description: Challenge Games is looking for a product manager to work directly with game teams in developing and assessing features and products. The position reports to the Director of Product Management.

Job Responsibilities:
• Own key metrics and product management oversight for individual products.
• Participate / lead cross-functional development teams to launch and continuously improve core features and functionality.
• Identify opportunities to improve features based on quantitative and qualitative data.
• Work with management to formulate business cases for new products.
• Define, prioritize, and execute on product backlogs.
• Develop feature level solutions including wireframes, flows, and design using best practices from the industry and competitive landscapes.
• Drive a deep understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to create great online experiences that drive engagement and monetization.
• Able to analyze pricing and revenue data to develop new and optimize in game products for purchase.
• A relentless need to drive toward profitability and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications:
• 2+ years of product management experience in any (or all) of the following industries: online, game/entertainment, online consumer retail, high-volume online consumer services, or social networks.
• Experience in writing product design specs; pricing analysis; and product positioning.
• Ability to work in a flexible startup environment with resource constraints.
• Understanding of how to balance online monetization and user experience.
• Able to produce wireframes, user interfaces, and work flows in support of a concept.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills both analysis and insight generation.
• Ability to prioritize opportunities based on financial and strategic importance.
• Knowledgeable about current internet technologies and trends.
• Able to deliver persuasive arguments in order to set direction and generate buy-in.
• BA/BS required, MBA a plus.

Also Helpful: Interest in playing games of all kinds and in particular: CCG games such as Magic: The Gathering, WoW: Trading Card Game, MMORPGs. Experience playing casual games on sites such as Pogo, Yahoo! Games, or other similar sites.
